Lake Cherokee suffers heavy fish loss.

Captains Rene McComb and Bob Angello fished the inaugural SBCC tournament held on Lake Cherokee. Unfortunately we did not finish all that well in Bob's new boat. The awful part of this was not the finish, but the amount of dead stripers viewed floating around the lake. For a lake in which mid 30's is needed to finish anywhere near the money, the best fish brought to scale during the week was a 8.31 hybrid. The time is now for all of us to express our disappointment to the TWRA and ask for additional fish to be stocked in the next three years while the lake rebuilds.

Captain Rene McComb and Captain Bob Angello do it again! Win the Percy Priest Hybrid and Striper Club's season ending Fish Off Championship October 20th, 2007. For the second time in two weeks and third time tournament in a row Captains Rene McComb and Bob Angello teamed up for a day of competition on Percy Priest reservoir. For the third time in a row they came out on top by winning the coveted PPHSC fish-off championship. Considering how tough conditions have been with no other boats catching fish besides them in the early October tournament, things have only gotten tougher since. But, Captain Rene pulled a new trick out of his bag. Fishing exclusively with the new atom rig setup named the "Rainbow Runner and the Water Melon Shaker," the team stayed with a game plan and once again proved that when you fish with the right stuff, you are successful. The team once again were the only boat catching a limit when others caught none, or one fish. These new setups are not currently being offered for sale yet, but will soon. They are designed for use off downriggers and I can tell you that not only do they catch bass (big ones), they will be a hit with for other species like great lakes salmon, trout, pike and muskie fishermen as well. If you would like more information, or wish to have your email included to the list for announcement of when they are available, shoot me an email stripermanly@aol.com

Captain Rene McComb with Captain Bob Angello Win Middle Tennessee Striped Bass Association 2007-2008 Season Kickoff. October 6th, 2007 Captains Rene McComb and Bob Angello make it two in a row for the team. Percy Priest has been dismal to say the least and tournament competitors during pre-fishing hadn't boated a single fish in the day's leading up to the event. However, these two savvy captains had an ace in the hole, (Striper Addiction Rigs.)  The next Middle Tennessee Striped Bass tournament is in November on Tims Ford reservoir.
